Salsarita’s Fresh Cantina
Manassas, VA
Problem
When Mark Walter wanted to open his third restaurant in Manassas, VA, he knew he would need financing to get the restaurant up and running while maintaining his other two restaurants.
Solution
Mark's first call went to Butler Capital. He had already financed his first restaurant with Butler Capital and knew that he could count on them to provide the flexible financing he would need to build and equip his new restaurant.
Mark applied for a $315,000 loan in May 2008. Because he was already a customer, Butler was able to fast track the loan application process. Within weeks, contractors and equipment suppliers were at work on the new restaurant. Meanwhile, until the restaurant was operational, Mark was required only to make payments for the interest on his loan, enabling him to conserve his cash flow for his other two businesses.
In December 2008, Salsarita's Fresh Cantina celebrated it's Grand Opening. By May 2009, the restaurant was turning a profit despite a very slow economy. Mark credits his early success to two things:
"First, I couldn't have done it without Butler Capital," says Mark. "Their flexible financing was key to getting my new restaurant up and running while preserving my cash flow. Second, we have created a legendary restaurant experience in a fun and energetic environment and we are known for our remarkable food, people and hospitality." |
